FIX: Virtual Machine Manager crashes when you try to manage a mirror LUN on a secondary storage array in Windows Server 2012

Consider the following scenario:

  • You run Microsoft System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager Service Pack 1 on Windows Server 2012.
  • You have two EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) storage arrays that are managed by one EMC Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S) provider.
  • You create one logical unit number (LUN) on the first SAN storage array and the additional mirror LUN on the secondary SAN storage array in Virtual Machine Manager.
  • You try to manage the mirror LUN on the secondary storage array in Virtual Machine Manager.

In this scenario, Virtual Machine Manager crashes.
